The investment seeks long-term capital growth. The fund invests primarily (at least 80% of its net assets plus borrowings for investment purposes, if any) in equity securities (consisting of common stocks, preferred stocks and convertible securities) of U.S. companies. It principally invests in mid- and small-size U.S. companies. Equity securities of mid- and small-size companies tend to have greater price fluctuations than larger, more established companies.
