This site makes money in a few ways:
- Affiliate links to products I recommend
- People paying to join the Minafi Investor Bootcamp
Actually, those are the only ways right now. Later on, I might also include advertising, but I’d like to delay that as long as possible.
These generally fall into a few categories of products:
- Links to products on Amazon.
- Links to financial service products that I think are worth checking out.
- Links to other things that I think would be beneficial for you.
I personally get very annoyed when I’m reading an article and I can’t tell what’s an affiliate link and what’s a link to another site the author recommends. For that reason, links are a little different here on Minafi.
If you see a link like this one to Personal Capital, then that’s an affiliate link. You’ll notice it’s green rather than the usual blue links within articles. It also shows a handy tooltip when you hover over it just in case.
I don’t guarantee that every single link on Minafi will have this style, but it’s my absolute best intent that each one does. If you spot an affiliate link without one please let me know and I will promptly fix it.
Previously, I thought of affiliate marketing as somewhat scammy. Since I consider myself a minimalist, even the products and services I use are usually well-researched. My hope with Minafi’s affiliate links is to help you make informed decisions about where you invest your money – and your time. Much of what I learned about affiliate marketing is from Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing School – an in-depth course that’s been very helpful for me.
I won’t sell any personal data you enter on this site — emails, comments, FIRE guide responses, or anything else. I treat your data the same as my own. My email address and information is in the same database as yours.
