The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in a broad range of foreign equity securities or depository receipts of foreign equity securities. When considering investments for the fund, the fund's investment advisor combines fundamental research on issuers with analysis of those environmental, social and governance ("ESG") characteristics that the advisor identifies as significant. It may invest in any stock or other equity security which Thornburg believes may assist the fund in pursuing its goal, including common stocks, preferred stocks and publicly traded real estate investment trusts.
