The investment seeks current income and capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (including, for this purpose, any borrowings for investment purposes) in dividend paying common and preferred stocks. It seeks to provide current income from dividends that are eligible for the reduced tax rate on qualified dividend income. The fund also seeks to provide capital appreciation.
