The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in approximately 40 (which may range up to 50) equity and equity-related securities of companies. Equity and equity-related securities in which the fund primarily invests are common stocks, nonconvertible preferred stocks and convertible securities. It participates in the initial public offering (IPO) market. The fund may actively trade its portfolio securities. It may invest up to 35% of its total assets in foreign securities. Foreign securities may include securities from emerging markets. The fund is non-diversified.
