The investment seeks income and, secondarily, absolute returns. The fund seeks primarily to invest in convertible securities and to establish short positions in the common stock of the issuers of the convertible securities. The term "convertible security" refers to a bond or a preferred stock that can be converted into shares of a company's common stock. It will generally invest in convertible securities that are part of an issuance of at least $40 million in size and are issued by companies with market capitalizations between $500 million and $10 billion.
