The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests mainly in common stocks (growth or value stocks or both) of large U.S. companies that the managers believe have favorable investment potential. For example, the manager may purchase stocks of companies with stock prices that reflect a value lower than that which the managers place on the company. The manager may also consider other factors that the managers believe will cause the stock price to rise.
