The investment seeks current income and, secondarily, long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in investment grade U.S. corporate bonds and in dividend-paying stocks. It invests in U.S. government securities and high-quality money market securities. The fund invests a higher proportion of its assets in stocks when the economic outlook is favorable.
