Fund Summary

The investment seeks current income and long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities that have a record of paying dividends over at least a trailing one-year period. Its equity investments include common stock, and can include preferred stock, depositary receipts, exchange-traded funds ("ETFs"), rights and warrants. The fund may also invest in ADRs. It will invest in a diversified portfolio of securities typically spread across many economic sectors.
