The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests mainly in equity securities of issuers in the U.S. and foreign countries. It currently emphasizes investments in equities, but it may also invest in debt securities and may invest up to 25% of its assets in "below-investment-grade" securities, commonly known as "junk bonds."
