The investment seeks to maximize total return. To pursue its goal, the fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. and foreign bonds and other debt securities and other investments that provide investment exposure to such debt securities. It seeks to achieve positive returns over the long term by investing in both long and short positions in a broad array of bonds and other debt securities and currencies around the world, including emerging markets.
