Fund Summary

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of issuers in emerging markets countries, i.e., those that are in the early stages of their industrial cycles, and in derivatives and other instruments that have economic characteristics similar to such securities. It invests primarily in equity securities and depositary receipts. The fund invests primarily in the securities of large-capitalization issuers and it may also invest in the securities of small- and mid-capitalization issuers.
