Fund Summary

The investment seeks to deliver a high level of current income, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The manager expects to achieve its objectives by investing in a portfolio of investment grade debt securities and non-investment grade debt securities, both domestic and foreign. Fixed income securities in which the fund may invest include foreign and domestic bonds, notes, corporate debt, convertible debt securities, preferred securities, U.S. and foreign government securities, domestic municipal securities, asset-backed securities and STRIPS. The fund's effective average duration will normally be three years or less.
