The investment seeks capital appreciation, with a secondary objective of capital preservation to provide long-term growth. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities traded in the U.S. Equity securities in which the fund may invest include common stocks and preferred stocks of companies of any market capitalization.
