Fund Summary

The investment seeks to provide current income that exceeds the dividend yield of the fund's benchmark and that grows over a period of years; long-term capital appreciation is as a secondary consideration. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in dividend-paying common stocks issued by U.S. and foreign companies. It diversifies its investments among a number of different countries throughout the world. The fund will invest at least 40% of its net assets in stocks of foreign companies drawn from at least three different countries (and at least 30% of its net assets in stocks of foreign companies if market conditions are deemed unfavorable).
