Fund Summary

The investment seeks an absolute return, primarily through current income and secondarily through capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (including the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in debt instruments (consisting of loans, bonds and notes). It invests primarily in high yield debt instruments (consisting of bonds, loans, and notes) of North American and Western European corporate issuers that are of below investment grade quality. The fund may invest in a wide range of debt instruments of issuers based in U.S. and non-U.S. markets, as well as over-the-counter and exchange-traded derivatives.
